Partial is a dating app for adults in Canada.

Report something

If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency services.

To report a member, message, photo or opinion, use Report in the ⋮ menu on that profile, chat or post. The person you report is not told. You can also email us with the subject "Report" and the person's display name.

We review every report and aim to act within 24 hours. Content reported for involving a minor, self-harm or a threat of violence is usually hidden while a person reviews it.

Block someone

On their profile or in a chat: ⋮ → Block. Blocking works both ways and takes effect immediately. The other person is not told. To undo a block: Settings → Blocked users.

You cannot block Partial's own account, which sends the welcome message in your Chats list. You can report it.

The identity check

Everyone records a short video selfie once, after sign-up. It confirms you are a real person, and your profile photos are checked against it. How it works and what we keep is in our Privacy Policy.

The check flashes colours. Do not attempt it if you are photosensitive. Email us instead.
You cannot do the check, or it keeps failing: email us.
You do not want to be scanned: do not complete the check, and delete the account from the screen that asks.
A photo was refused, or does not count towards your three photos: at least three of your photos must show your face. If you think a photo was refused by mistake, email us.
It says your face is already registered to another account: sign in to that account, or delete this one. If this is wrong, email us and a person will review it.
It says your account is being reviewed: a person needs to look at your account before you can use Partial. If you are 18 or over, email us.

Signing up

You cannot create an account. We do not say why sign-up was refused. It can be because of the age you entered, because your phone failed our device check (modified, rooted or uncertified devices usually fail), or because the device was barred by a moderator. Email us if you think this is wrong.

Your account

Forgotten password: sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address or phone number.
Change your email address or phone number: Settings → Email & phone.
A code did not arrive: check your spam folder, wait a minute and request another, then email us.
Passkeys: Settings → Passkeys. If your account has no email address or phone number and you lose every device holding your passkey, we cannot recover the account. Add one under Settings → Email & phone.
Suspended or removed account: email us and a person will review it.
Delete your account: Settings → Delete my account, or see date.partial.chat/docs/delete-account.

Safety

See Settings → Safety centre. Meet in public, arrange your own transport, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money, gift cards or cryptocurrency to someone you met here.

If you believe something on Partial infringes your copyright, write to admin@partial.chat. Section 8 of our Terms of Service says what to include and what we do with it.
